Donate a Book and Help Families in Need
Libraries in Middlesex County are now accepting donations of new paperback books to be distributed as part of the Books to Keep program.
Books to Keep, now in its 21st year, is an outreach program of the Children's Librarians of Middlesex County. Each year the program donates books to non-profit organizations that work with needy families in Middlesex County. We work with Head Start Centers, homeless shelters and community and faith based groups that serve families with young children. Many of these families have no books in the home.
The response from the children is heartwarming. They are so excited that they will be able to take the book home! Please drop off donated books locally at the East Brunswick Public Library. A donation box is just inside the front door. Pre-addressed envelopes are available for monetary donations as well. If you have any questions please call the Youth Services Desk at the East Brunswick Public Library. 732-390-6789.
