East Brunswick's Xenia Balabkins Awarded

Xenia P. Balabkins, Associate Professor in the Accounting, Business and Legal Studies Department at Middlesex County College is completing her 35th year teaching Marketing.  Sadly for MCC students and colleagues, but well-deserved for her, she will retire at the end of this semester.

"We will all miss her smile, her service and her dedication to providing the best for our students," said Patrick Madama, Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Xenia's many types of service to the College, the Foundation and the Alumni Association earned her special recognition at the recent Scholarship Gala where she was presented “The Spirit of Middlesex” Award.

"She is a remarkable woman whose service to others is not only contained to the Middlesex County College campus.  With her husband, Joe, they have been active in the Middlesex County community in sponsoring foreign students and helping others to learn to read and write English among other initiatives," Madama said.
