Library Meeting Rooms Available to More People Than Ever
The spacious meeting rooms at the East
Brunswick Public Library are now available to more people than ever thanks to a
new policy adopted by the Library Board of Trustees.
Beginning Sept. 1, the Library’s meeting rooms will be available for public and business use as well as the traditional non-profit groups. The new policy offers meeting rooms to groups of any size, and allows those groups to use them exclusively and as frequently as needed. The policy also allows groups or businesses to fundraise or charge admission for their events.
Our previous policy limited usage to only non-profit groups
of 15 attendees or more, and groups were only permitted to use the rooms once per month.
There is a charge to use the rooms, but non-profit groups
receive a discount. A certificate of insurance is required. TVs with DVD and VHS players are available for use in the
meeting rooms, as well as projection screens. Coffee and tea setups are also available for a small fee. The meeting rooms also have Internet access via the library's wireless network.
