Democrats Respond to Stahl Endorsement
Democratic Assmemblymen Peter Barnes and Patrick Diegnan, and state Sen. Barbara Buono respond to Mayor David Stahl's endorsement of Republican assembly candidate
Assemblymen say mayor endorsed a friend
To the editor:
Mayor Stahl endorsed a personal friend and business associate. Although it is disppointing, it is understandable. We don't think that too much should be made of it. We've fought to restore municipal and state aid to East Brunswick in tough economic times and we will not waver in these goals. We look forward to continuing our work with our running mate Barbara Buono for all of the residents of the 18th District, including East Brunswick.
Assemblyman Patrick J. Diegnan (D-18)
Assemblyman Peter Barnes (D-18)
Senator vows to continue working for middle class, families
To the editor:
Patrick, Peter and I are unshakable partners in the fight for families across Central Jersey. We’ve worked to help middle class families get tax relief by asking millionaires to pay their fair share, reformed education funding to make sure that students and schools in our district are treated fairly, fought for affordable health care for women, children and seniors and helped small businesses create jobs by making sure they get the same tax benefits as big corporations.
I clearly disagree with Mayor (David) Stahl’s political decision and I am proud to be part of an effective and strong legislative team with Assemblymen Diegnan and Barnes. Patrick, Peter and I are
fighting for families and fairness- that’s what this election is all about.
State Sen. Barbara Buono (D)
