Hold on to that garbage!

The township has announced its holiday garbage and recycling pick up schedule for the next two weeks. With Christmas and New Year’s here, you may want to double check whether or not you’re putting the cans out on the right day.

Here is the holiday schedule for the next few weeks.

Saturday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve: the Recycling Center is open.

Monday, Dec. 26: There will be no solid waste collection in observance of Christmas. The make-up date for solid waste collection is Tuesday, Dec.  27. Recycling Collection District 6 Recycling Center Closed.

Saturday, Dec. 31, New Years Eve: The Recycling Center is open.

Monday, Jan. 2 There will be no solid waste collection in observance of New Years Day. The make-up date for solid waste is Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. Recycling Collection District 1 Recycling Center Closed.

NOTE: Solid waste cannot be collected on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2 becasue the landfill is closed.
