They sported new hair cuts, the latest in school supplies, and the coolest clothes (or just their favorite outfits), grabbed their lunches and headed out the door for the first day of school.

Students throughout East Brunswick started the new school year Thursday, and if the bounce in the step of teachers and most students at Lawrence Brook School is any indication, then the 2012-13 school year is going to be a great one.

There may have been a few hiccups here and there, but even the  most nervous of children had to have enjoyed his time at school.
