Orchid Restaurant in East Brunswick is hands down, the best Chinese/Asian restaurant in the area. (No, I don't work there.)

Golden East in Midstate Mall. Service is impecable. Everyone is treated like family and if you go there a couple times everyone knows your name. Food is fantastic and there is always enough to bring some home too

The Orchid Chinese/ Asian Restaurant in East Brunswick's Stop and Shop mall is outstanding. Top quality ingredients (such as shrimp and chicken breast) are prepared with care. Sauces are light, not heavy wth soy sauce. Absolutely the best pork-fried dumplings I've ever had.

The Orchid, in the Stop and Shop mall, is by far the best Chines/Asian restaurant we've ever had in Eat Brunswick. First class ingredients, prepared by a true master chef.

Golden East. Anne & Wynn are wonderful & have been the owners for years. The food is good & fresh. Entire staff is extremely friendly. Love being treated like family.

Ok, so which of you Golden East fans have eaten at Orchid? I'm guessing... NONE OF YOU. Golden East had a good run for years. Orchid has blown them out of the water. No comparison.

I agree! My family had gone to Golden East for many many years; we used to order just about every Saturday night with an occasional visit to eat in. The service was wonderful, and they certainly made you feel like family. We really have not ordered from there in I cannot even tell you how long. Portions/pricing/ taste reasons. We recently have been eating Orchid and I find the food AMAZING! Seems a lot healthier, less oil, good portions, a bit pricey but worth it!

Although I do believe the Orchid has set a new standard for Asian food in our area, The Golden East remains one of my regular restaurants. There are several dishes there that I really like, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. Still, give the Orchid a try!

Golden East Garden one of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time. Their food and service are unbeatable, especially their lunch specials which are the most satisfying and affordable deals around town. I also love how cozy it is in there, and the owner is always checking on you to make sure that you're happy. Love Golden East Garden!
