Photography Contest Winners Announced

The winners of the Friends of the Environmental Commission's photography contest will have their work on display at the library.

In the Youth Category, Kaity Emerson took first for her piece titled “Even the Weeds of East Brunswick Look Beautiful!” and Sajal Duppatla took second with for a photo of a hawk that had landed on his family’s deck.

In the Adult Category, Thomas Maugham took first for “Reflection at Dallenbach,” and David Fried for a photo of a red-bellied woodpecker.

Sponsored by the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission, the four winners were selected from almost 50 entries.  On Monday, the winners received a proclamation from the East Brunswick Township Council. The first and second place winning photographs in the youth and adult categories will be on display at the throughout February.

Commission member David Moskowitz said the 2012 contest begins this week, with the deadline being in November.
