Readers' Choice Winner: Halter's Cycles in Monmouth Junction

After a week of voting, the final tally is in. In this week's poll we asked readers to pick their favorite place to buy sporting goods in the area. The list included stores from East Brunswick, New Brunswick and South Brunswick.
The voting was fairly one sided, with one store gaining the majority right from the beginning and never letting go. As of 9 a.m. Friday, when our poll closed, readers chose as their favorite sporting goods store:
Halter's Cycles, at 4095 Route 1 in Monmouth Junction.
Halter's received 31 votes, to outdo second place finisher Dick's Sporting Goods, located at 325 Route 18 in East Brunswick. Also receiving votes were C.H. Martin Company, located at 368 George Street in New Brunswick, Pelican Ski, located at 393 Route 18 in East Brunswick, and Planet Bike, located at 1020 Route 18 in East Brunswick.
