I just called PSE&G & was told we will not have power on Rodney Road in East Brunswick, NJ till Friday November 9th!!! Say this isn't so!! God help us..

Thanks hubby just went to check. He walked to capital one bank about 10 mins ago still closed and no working traffic lights. Will post what he finds. Thanks again John.

Rt 18 by Rues Lane everything still closed no working traffic signals as far as the eye can see.

What about cranbury road? Do they have power?

PSE&G must have a plan for restoring east brunswick neighborhoods -- can they share it with us so we at least know how to proceed? Like, zone by zone?

At least PSEG is doing something. Jersey power and light told me 7 to 14 days.

Why did i have power on scott road at 139 am today for 10 minutes and now nothing?

......must say that in my neighborhood, Country Lane Estates, I have seen ZERO presence of PSE&G......and minimal appearances of tree removal personnel. The power was turned on for 15 minutes last night.....followed by a chorus of transformer expolsions and synchronized late night "fireworks" before all went dark again. If the power can apparantly get to the neighborhood....then remove the trees and fix the glitches. We were one of the last to get power last year after Irene, and after the March 13 2010 storm.....and it seems as if we're headed down that road again.

we are over on River Rd in EB and also have no power still, although right across the street a development in South River is back up.
Does anyone know about the area around the fair grounds and 4 H hall on Cranbury Rd?? We are supposed to use the 4 H hall this weekend for an event and we can't get in touch with anyone to see if it is even usable.

.....FYI regarding Rte 18: I was just on it between Milltown Road and Hillsdale Rd ....intersection lights are all DARK...and businesses are also just as DARK.

What bothers me is conflicting info. A PSEG line guy said up to four weeks to clean up the dutch road mess.

Another source says nov 5th. The twsp says something else.

The end result. This disinformation campaign by our township and PSEG is trying our nerves more than the hardship of our situation.

One more thing about the incompetence & misinformation. The township is announces "trunk or treat" while police threatened us when we were standing on dutch road 20 feet from the power lines. How can we reach the event when we can't walk up dutch rd to Get there?

Seven more days? Clearly residents can not depend on PSEG for power needs. They have made it clear we need to go out and find other power sources like solar heating and built in generators for our needs since they can not support the infrastructure. Ten days with no power is not acceptable unless you live in a third world country.

Does anyone know if Kennedy blvd has power?

I lived in a third world country for a few years and no power for 10 days is unheard of! After following Nixle to see the situation in other area towns, the level of communication out of EB is deplorable!!!

What about those of us in town with JCP&L ? Why are there never any updates about them?

......we ALL just LOOOOVE trees.....and we ALL just LOOOOVE the convenience of electricity. The unfortunate truth is that they cannot coexist when weather is involved. Hurricanes, snow, ice storms ...all wreak havoc on trees and the overhead utilities that they are often adjacent to. The only answer is to get the utilities below ground. Eliminate the need to trim trees in favorable weather...and the need to cut them down after a disastrous weather event.

There appears to be no discussion of JCP &L. They service parts of East Brunswick too. My power has already been out three times longer than it was during Irene. Mayor Stahl, where are you?

That's a great question. Where is he and I don't think anyone should vote him back in. JCP&L is no where to be found. I never see any of their trucks around. I live in County Woods/Kingswood Station. No power at all!!

According to JCPL's website, they've restored power for only 100 people since last night. There are still nearly 4,400 people in East Brunswick without power. Saying they suck is an understatement.

I'm voting for all newcomers, the incumbants aren't helping us at all.

Before power can be restored, lines must be cleared, trees must be cleared. Logistics. I called early Tuesday morning to have a tree on my property removed because it's hanging right over my patio and house roofs, right over an exposed gasline. I was told THEN that I was number 300 on the list. I still wait, 3 days later, for someone to come and clear that tree. I'm one of how many people who need trees cleared? People: this is a crisis and there are tree cutters coming from Canada and Virginia and Lord knows where else to help. Until those lines are cleared from brances and fallen trees, power can't be restored.

Here at Cedar Village BLVD we can see the businesses across the street have had power for days, as have the traffic lights between us. We, however, do not. The same thing happened last time. Why is that? Does anyone know? Is our part of the network just that much harder to fix?
