Three Charged With Trespassing in Crystal Springs
Three men were charged Wednesday night after police spotted them in and around Crystal Springs.
Three men were charged with trespassing Wednesday night after being discovered at Crystal Springs Family Aquatic Center at 11:42 p.m.
Sgt. Michael Plaskon and Patrol Officer Anthony DeSantis located one of the men, Marc Rivera, 19, of Milltown, still inside Crystal Springs, police said.
A second male, Brian Markheim, 18, of South River, was found swimming in the middle of Dallenbach Lake. Markheim was attempting to swim across the lake in an attempt to flee from the police officers. He was ordered to return to the shoreline and complied, according to police.
A third suspect, Joseph Osorio, 18, of South River, had been identified as the third person at the facility. He could not be located and as a precaution, the East Brunswick District 3 Brookview Fire Company was dispatched to deploy a boat into the lake and a light truck, all in an attempt to locate Osorio. However, evidence found in the wooded area along with the suspects’ statements led police and firefighters to stop searching for Osorio in the lake, police said. He was believed to have walked along the shoreline and flee the area once the police officers arrived.
All three suspects were charged with criminal trespassing and obstruction.
