Tornado Watch for Middlesex County

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 7 p.m.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 7 p.m. tonight, and a wind advisory from noon to midnight.

According to the National Weather Service, winds will be 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph. Winds could bring down tree limbs and utility lines. Outdoor items such as garbage cans and patio furniture should be secured.

In addition, driving could be difficult.

The tornado watch includes 16 counties, Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Warren, Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem.
