Congratulations to the U13 Gladiators for going undefeated and claiming their flight in the 25th Annual Marlboro Soccer Tournament.

Handily winning the white division, the Gladiators beat the Aberdeen Warriors 2-1, the Manalapan Red Bulls 5-0, the Middletown Coyotes 4-0 and the Peninsula Raging Eagles 5-1.

The Gladiators' strength is their depth and flexibility.  This was proven by the many contributors on offense with goals coming from Sebastian Andrade (1), John Dallagnese (2), Tyler Devaney( 2), Lucas Espada (1), Bobby McCulley (1), Andrew Oross (3), Jagath Ranaweera (1), Ryan McDonald (1), Nick Riggio (1), Zach Solomon (1) and Chase Van Dusen (2).

Stellar defense was played by all but in particular Joe Sampson, Shane McMahon and their anchor, Bradley Susskind.  Kudos to Ayyan Rahman, for giving up 1 goal in 3 games, serving up 2 shutouts in the process.

Star of the tournament was Andrew Oross, who played through adversity having lost his grandmother just a few days before. He remained focused and consistent, playing four different positions and scoring three goals.
