"Where's a cop when you need one?" Age-old. Everyone knows that the mere presence of aRead Morea squad car suddenly jolts people back into obeying traffic laws, yet they are NOT visible, particularly in areas where scofflaws abound: Route 18 comes immediately to mind. EVERY EVENING when I drive home on 18, especially, for some reason, at Naricon Place and just before that, I see people obviously texting and driving. I usually lay on my horn until they look up and give them a "WTH?" or remind them to keep their eyes on the road...but it should be a police officer doing that!

This type of "scare" story serves no purpose. It doesn't tell you anything and just getsRead Morep eople worried. Maybe some more info next time?

Does a weak signal prevent wireless towers from using the full modulation constellation? Residents Read Moreshould ask that question.

According to Verizon's map the signal is alive and strong. I’m not sure if the gen publicRead Morecom prehends carrier usage for modulating data signals for radio communications (I’m not sure I entirely do:). Nevertheless…good question.

The constellation needs amplitude and phase variations. With a signal that is weak, theRead Moreconstellat ion is limited and the bit rate becomes lower than it could be at the full data rate. BTW----42 yrs, BTL, WECo, Telcordia--industry standards including LTE (which is just the radio front end of the network)
