DESCRIPTION:The East Brunswick Museum Corporation presents "A Firm Founda
 tion: From Church to Museum - Celebrating 150 years&rdquo\;.&nbsp\; The 
 2012 exhibit opens on Saturday\, May 12th at 2pm with a public reception
 .&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The Museum is located at 16 Maple St.\,in the His
 toric Village of Old Bridge section of East Brunswick\, NJ.&nbsp\; The e
 xhibit will celebrate the physical building that houses the East Brunswi
 ck Museum\, by featuring information on the founding families of the Sim
 pson&nbsp\; Methodist Church\, the building's architecture\, and a look 
 at other interesting facts about the building and its transition from a 
 church to the current use as a historicalmuseum.&nbsp\; The event is spo
 nsored by the East Brunswick Museum Board of Trustees\, regular museum h
 ours are Saturday and Sunday - 1:30pm - 4pm\; year-round.\nThe Museum wi
 ll be open during regular hours while the new exhibit is being prepared.
  The permanent museum collection will be on display throughout the trans
 ition period.&nbsp\; In addition\, the James Crawford Thom paintingsare 
 on permanent display\, year-round.&nbsp\;\nAdmission is free for members
 \; suggested minimum donations of $1.00 per person for all others\, addi
 tional donations are always welcome!&nbsp\; The East Brunswick Museum is
  a membership organization\; please consider becoming a member today.&nb
 sp\; Membership is for one calendar year.&nbsp\; Special programs may ha
 ve admission fees tocover the cost of the event.&nbsp\; Proceeds from du
 es\, donations and fundraisers are used for ongoing operating costs\,inc
 luding exhibit expenses.&nbsp\;\nThe East Brunswick Museum is sponsored 
 in part by grants from: The Division of Parks and Recreation\, East Brun
 swick Township\; Middlesex County Cultural &amp\; Heritage Commission\, 
 and New Jersey State Council on the Arts - Department of State\, a Partn
 er Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts\, and by funds from the
