Farmers Market, Splash Bash Today in East Brunswick

Your daily guide to East Brunswick's events and happenings.

Good morning East Brunswick!

By now, you may have noticed that this guide to the happenings of East Brunswick has been appearing daily. What do you think of it? Is it helpful? Not so helpful?

Tell us in the comments below what it is YOU most want to know about when you rise in the morning in East Brunswick.

As usual, here's some happenings around town today:

1. It's not technically in East Brunswick, but Rutgers Gardens on Ryders Lane holds a Farmers Market on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Head on down there to peruse a wide array of locally grown and sourced products, including fresh produce, honey, crafts and prepared foods.

2. The final Splash Bash of the season is scheduled for tonight! Drop your 6th, 7th and 8th graders off at Crystal Springs at 6 p.m. to enjoy swimming, games, music, food and fun. It's free for members, $10 for non-members.

3. In case you missed our note earlier this week about the Summer Food Drive, we're happy to recap: The Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services is collecting non-perishable food (no glass containers, please) through July 31. Donations will benefit M.C.F.O.O.D.S., and can be dropped off at the recreation department's office at 350 Dunhams Corner Road on weekdays.

4. Do you have infants or toddlers at home? Bring them to the East Brunswick Library at 10:15 a.m. for a 15-minute "Mother Goose Magic" nursery rhymes program.
