St. Nicholas Day, More Rain on the Way

What's up Friday in East Brunswick.

Friday is going to be another wet one with more rain on the way throughout the day.

Christmas is still weeks away, however the real Santa Clause is celebrated throughout the world today, Dec. 6. The real Saint Nicholas lived in the country of Greece, and was born just a couple hundred years after the birth of Christ, according to Holiday Insights.

The real St. Nick wasn't known for being jolly, but he did give up all of his belongings to needy people, especially children in need. Hanging up stockings also originated with St. Nicholas, who was known to throw bags of gold coins into the open windows of poor homes, according to Holiday Insights.

Here's what else you need to know today.
