Congratulations East Brunswick Eagle Scout Brandon Young

East Brunswick Boy Scout Troop 223 is proud to announce the advancement of Brandon Young to the rank of Eagle Scout.  Brandon was presented this honor at a ceremony which was held on March 9, 2014 at the East Brunswick Elks.

Brandon began scouting in September 2002 and since then has hiked over 247 miles, logged more than 83 nights of camping, and worked over 160 hours at volunteer community service events.

In order to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, in addition to the 21 required merit badges, a scout must undertake a project to benefit a religious organization, school or community.  For his service project, Brandon marked out a 1.25 walking/running course at Heavenly Farms Park in East Brunswick and built a kiosk containing the course map.
