Jersey Cares September 11th Week of Service & Remembrance

As a leader in the national movement to preserve September 11th as a day of service and remembrance, Jersey Cares will engage 1,000 volunteers in over 25 projects in 9 counties to improve their communities and state between September 7th and 14th. These volunteer opportunities will place a special focus on active service members, military families and veterans.

Volunteer Projects

Volunteers are needed for the following activities:

- Painting murals (murals sketched in advance)

- Assembling picnic tables and benches

- Serving hot meals

- Socializing with seniors and veterans

- Playing games with youth in afterschool activities

- Performing general landscaping to public parks and beaches

- Sorting donations

- Making crafts for military families and soldiers
