NJIT College of Architecture and Design Summer Design and Summer Architecture Program

On Friday, July 19, 2013, seventeen students from New Jersey and New York high schools completed in short architecture design course at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) College of Architecture and Design. The five day course offered students insight into the world of architecture through computer design. Students visited nearby museums in Newark, NJ, buildings and ongoing urban planning  in lower Manhattan including a trip to the 90th floor of the new World Trade Center. These trips and guidance from NJIT staff helped students gather inspiration for their hand-drawn renderings and final computerized concept art project that could be eventually displayed in the Newark Museum Garden. The animated works of art were presented by students to NJIT dignitaries and the families of the students.
