Piscataway's Police and Firefighters Appreciate Applebee's Time in the Neighborhood

PISCATAWAY, NJ – November 7, 2013 – Applebee’s recently celebrated its Second Annual Law Enforcement & Firefighter Appreciation Day. Firefighters and police officers got a chance to feel how much its community appreciates their dedication at the Piscataway Applebee’s located at 1282 Centennial Avenue. All police officers and firefighters (active, reserve, retired, career, and volunteers) received a complimentary meal from the Applebee’s Signature Entrée menu on the event day. They were able to select from house sirloin, bacon cheddar cheeseburger, three-cheese chicken penne, chicken tenders platter, oriental chicken salad, fiesta lime chicken® and double crunch shrimp.

Community member Linda Ann Sullivan came up with the idea for a day to appreciate police and firefighters and presented it to Applebee’s. “Linda is a passionate and caring individual who worked tirelessly to make this happen,” said Tom Palma, Applebee’s General Manager in Piscataway. “We immediately embraced the chance to let our police and fire personnel have a day dedicated to our gratitude - these selfless professionals risk their lives for the public’s safety every day and this day at Applebee’s a year is our tribute to them.”
