A Day for Veterans

The Veterans Day Observance will be Sunday at the Senior Center

East Brunswick will hold its Veterans Day Observance on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. in the East Brunswick Senior Center.

Leading the 45 minute program will be Mayor David Stahl. Taking part in the program, John O’Keefe will play the bagpipes; John Marmion, Chaplain of VFW Post No. 133 will deliver the Invocation and play TAPS; Rabbi Aryeh Goodman of the East Brunswick Chabad will deliver the Benediction; Tom Coohill, Commander of VFW Post No. 133 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Wreath Bearers will be Ira Roth of the JWV Post No. 311, Irwin Steinlight and Paul Deutsch of the Vietnam Veterans of America, and John Chunco of AMVETS Post No. 34; The East Brunswick Community Chorus will lead in song and Boy Scout Troop No. 223 will assist with the program. 

Serving as this year’s guest speaker is Bill Keegan of H.E.A.R.T. 9/11, a non-profit, non-sectarian organization comprised of veteran police officers, fire fighters, construction trade union workers, surviving families of those killed on Sept. 11, 2001 and others who share the belief that they can help themselves by helping others.
