Adopt a Cat This Weekend

The Animal Rescue Force of East Brunswick has cats and dogs up for adoption every weekend.

Help find a cat or dog a home by attending one of several adoption events sponsored by the Animal Rescue Force of East Brunswick this weekend. ARF holds weekly adoption events throughout the area to find homes for animals that would have been euthanized in a shelter or whose parents can no longer care for them.

Every Saturday and Sunday you can find ARF at the PetSmart on
Route 18 in East Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; at the Petco on Route 1 in Edison from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building).

Alex is a gorgeous 8 -1/2-year-old male Eskimo. He is neutered, approximately 20 pounds, and has all shots up to date and a microchip.  He loves other dogs and the out doors. He is completely crate trained. He is affectionate, but also dominant, actually better with women than men. He is not good with little children, because he will grab food out of their hands when they are at the table, and will protect the food from everyone. To adopt him will cost $100.  Alex will be at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed. If it is raining, Alex will be at te Petco on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot Shopping Center, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you want to check, call 732-718-8757.

BooBoo Kitty is about 7 weeks old.  He was found as a teeny baby, living behind a grocery store in the woods. A kind lady scooped him up and took him home. He is current on his vaccines, and has been dewormed. He is very friendly and loves to be held. BooBoo Kitty will be at our the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center NEXT WEEK. Check the ARF website for updates.

Meet Cheeto! He was found as an emaciated stray in East Brunswick,. After many months of seeing him roam in the area, he was finally picked up while on his daily search for food. Vocal, relaxed, and VERY affectionate, he needs a responsible owner (unlike his previous owner).  He is an adult probably around 6 years old. He’s compatible with children, older cats (does not like kittens), and older dogs (does not like hyper dogs). Too much sight and sound makes him nervous. Needs quiet/calm home and he does well when he has a daily routine.  He is neutered and declawed. He eats Pro plan adult, wet and dry (chicken and rice), rotisserie chicken twice a week (for dinner) and twice a week (for lunch),  and tuna twice a week (for dinner).  He was being fattened up, and doesn't really need this diet any more.  He is $85 to adopt.  Cheeeto will be at our the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center Sunday only. Check the ARF website for updates.
