Animal Rescue Force Has Pets for Adoption

Adopt an animal at one of three adoption centers this weekend.

These four-legged friends need our help. Find a find a new home for a pet this weekend by attending one of three adoption events sponsored by the this weekend. ARF holds weekly adoption events throughout the area to find homes for animals that would have been euthanized in a shelter or whose parents can no longer care for them.

Every Saturday and Sunday you can find ARF at the PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; at the Petco on Route 1 in Edison from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). Jake is a 12-year-old miniature pinscher. He is very sweet but his owners don't have time for him. Jake is neutered, up-to-date with his shots, and house trained. He has a short black and golden coat. Jake will be at PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick, in the Midstate Mall shopping center Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.

Zeus is a three-month-old male Maltese who will be neutered by the weekend. He is very friendly, a little shy at first, and needs some training because he bites when playing--would not be good with small kids. The owner's landlord doesn't allow pets. He is crate trained if you take him out every couple of hours. He has just been neutered. To adopt him will cost $400, which includes his neuter, shots, ID chip and Advantix. Zeus will be at our the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday to see if anything has changed.

Sam is a 7-year-old male, neutered miniature pinscher. He’s people friendly but not friendly with other dogs. He’s been housetrained and takes eye drops for dry eye. He’s up-to-date on his routine shots. Sam is expected to be at PetSmart in East Brunswick at the Midstate Mall, on Route 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Star is a medium-length haired kitten. She is about eight months old. She is shy at our adoption center, but extremely friendly and even acrobatic at home. Star is up-to-date with routine shots and house trained. Star will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
