Cambodian Killing Fields Survivor to Share Experiences at EBPL

Khmer Rouge survivor Chanty Jong to tell her tale of survival on Sept. 3.

Cambodian Khmer Rouge survivor Chanty Jong will visit the East Brunswick Public Library on Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. to share her experience of survival and escape.

Chanty Jong tells her decade-long survival story, including her experience with Khmer Rouge policies, the Killing Fields, the children’s camp, her dangerous journey to freedom via a Thai refugee camp, two years of hiding underground, her capture and daring escape and her eventual immigration to the U.S.
