Cats and Dogs Up for Adoption

The Animal Rescue Force of East Brunswick has a wonderful pet for you.

Find a find a new home for a pet this weekend by attending one of three adoption events sponsored by the this weekend. ARF holds weekly adoption events throughout the area to find homes for animals that would have been euthanized in a shelter or whose parents can no longer care for them.

Every Saturday and Sunday you can find ARF at the PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; at the Petco on Route 1 in Edison from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). Mike is an 8 year old male beagle who is very friendly and neutered. He weighs 30 pounds. His owner is ill and has to give him up. He is completely housetrained. He seems OK with other dogs. He is up-to-date with his shots. To adopt him will cost $100. Mile will be at the Englishtown Auction booth on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 to see if anything has changed.

Shelly is a 6 year female spayed Shih Tzu in need in need of a new home. She is good with dogs and children, but has never been around cats. However, if a dog growls at her, she will growl back. Her owner is moving. She has a couple of health issues—dry eye, and a skin infection. She is on antibiotics and medicated bathing. To adopt her will cost $100. Shelly will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 to see if anything has changed.

Bert is a black and white neutered male cat who is very sweet. He is 1 1/2 years old. He is up to date on his shots, including his rabies. Bert will be at the Petsmart on Route 18 on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 to see if anything has changed.

Mary Francis is a long-haired female cat, 4 years old, spayed. She loves to roll on her back to be pet. She even acts like a dog sometimes. She loves cats and dogs and has amazing facial markings. She was very shy at first, but is now becoming her old friendly self. Mary Francis will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 to see if anything has changed.
