East Brunswick Independent Fire Company Celebrates 75 Years

A parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

The East Brunswick Independent Fire Company will recognize 75 years of serving the community and 40 years of the Dunhams Corner Fire Station on Saturday afternoon with a parade, music, food and celebration.

According to Tony Alexander, chairman of the celebration committee, a parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the Willow Street Fire Station, 219 Willow St., heading south on Cranbury Road, onto Ryders Lane past the Dunhams Corner Fire Station and then onto Dunhams Corner Road back to the Willow Street station.

Bob Morrison, a 50 year member of the department, will serve as parade grand marshall, Alexander said.

Residents wishing to watch the parade are advised to find spots along the route and not at the Willow Street station, Alexander said.

A ceremony will begin at 1 p.m., followed by music, food, apparatus judging and entertainment, Alexander said.
