The East Brunswick Soccer Club held a hurricane relief donation drive last weekend.

Last weekend’s Hurricane Sandy donation drive sponsored by the East Brunswick Soccer Club was a huge success.

Held at Heavenly Farms and Dideriksen Park, the club collected more than 2,000 pounds of food and over 10 car loads of clothing and blankets to be used for hurricane relief.

The collected items were distributed to local organizations who serve those in need.

“A big thank you to all those who contributed and helped out, specifically the U9 Strikers FC and coaches Jeff Reed and Jon Santos and the parents of the U13 Revolution. We could not have had a successful drive without your help. Thanks to all!,” said Elizabeth McSpiritt, VP of Travel for the club.
