Fair Needs Vendors

Plans have already begun for the next Middlesex County Fair, and the association is seeking vendors right now.

It is still a long way until the 2011 Middlesex County Fair but it’s not too let to start planning for the weeklong event.

If you are a business looking for a way to get your name in front of the thousands of patrons that attend the fair each year, then you can become a vendor at the event. The Middlesex County 4-H Fair Association is seeking both new and previous vendors for the August event.

Middlesex County Fair concessions manager Mary Lou Conover said she will be sending out the vendor contracts this week and vendors are told to return them by May or June.

“The requirements for businesses looking to be vendors include filling out the contract, having insurance and leaving a security deposit,” Conover said.

Conover said she does not know yet which vendors are participating in this year’s fair because the contracts still have to be sent out but the fair has had close to about 200 vendors in the past.

“We had more than 75,000 people come to the fair last year, so the vendors can really benefit from the amount of patrons that come,” she said.
