Friends of the Library Kicks Off Membership Drive

Give back to the library by helping the Friends of the Library.

The East Brunswick Friends of The Library is getting ready to start a month-long membership drive beginning Jan 1.  The Friends has been an enthusiastic and generous supporter of the Library for more than thirty years, providing funds beyond the capabilities of the budget and a wide range of terrific programming.

For the first time in its history, the Friends have had to donate money for the sole purpose of the Library buying books for its collection. The donations have been made to help the Library during difficult economic times.

In addition, the Friends funds all children’s programs, including the TLC program, and prizes for Youth and Teen Services programs, including the Summer Reading Program. It also sponsors programs including the Meet the Author series, the Annual Phyllis Noar Puppetry Festival, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and a variety of other wonderful events.

If you love the Library, then this is a great way to become more involved. The cost to become a member is $15. The cost to become a supporter is $25. The cost to become a contributor is $50. The cost to become a patron is $100. Membership dues go directly to support children and adult programming at The Library.
