GBC Has a Great 2012 Season

Football squads and cheer leaders put their best foot forward this year.

Editor's note: The following is a missive from the Golder Bear Chargers Pop Warner Organization.

The Junior Pee Wee Cheer squad has had the most AWESOME 2012 season.

The JPW’s have taken first place in three rounds of competition.  They flew into first place at Central Jersey Cheer Competition on Oct. 20. They soared into first place at the Central Jersey Qualifiers on Nov. 3. They floored us with first place at the Pop Warner Eastern Regionals on Nov. 17. Now, the team of 12 girls has qualified to compete at the Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Nationals on Dec. 3 in Walt Disney World, Florida!

These girls and their four coaches and one super team mom have had a season filled with obstacles.  They have taught us all that with teamwork you can make your dream work!  Good luck to all the girls, coaches, and families in Disney!

The Junior Midget Cheer Squad had an incredible season.  They made it to the third round of competition ending their season at the Pop Warner Eastern Regionals.  We congratulate them on a great ride!  We would also like to acknowledge three seniors who are ending their GBC career this season.  We thank Tiffany Dantoni for being a part of the GBC family.  We thank Brooke Juhass for sharing eight seasons with GBC.  We thank Taylor Nevin for sharing 10 seasons with GBC!   Awwwww Thank You!  (Cheer speak.)

The Junior Midget Football Squad Gold Division also had a super season!  They ended their season 7-1 and were undefeated during the regular season!  It could not have been accomplished with the hard work of ALL the players, coaches, and Team Mom!  Thank you for a great 2012 season!
