Multiple Traffic Delays Around the Area Monday Morning

An accident temporarily closed a portion of the New Jersey Turnpike in East Brunswick.

The Monday morning commute is proving to be a nuisance for many commuters in Mercer and Middlesex counties this morning.

All lanes have reopened on the New Jersey Turnpike south at exit 9 in East Brunswick following an accident that blocked the right lane this morning according to 511nj.org. The road was closed for about an hour, beginning at 6:49 a.m., as the police and fire departments reported to the scene.

Additionally, there are delays on Route 130 south of Deans Rhode Hall Road in South Brunswick due to heavy volume; Route 1 north of Henderson Road in South Brunswick, due to volume; Route 1 north from Business to Franklin Center in Lawrence Township due to volume; Route 1 north from I-295 in Lawrence to Harrison Street in West Windsor; Route 18 near the New Jersey Turnpike in East Brunswick; I-295 north from exit 63 in Hamilton Township to exit 67 in Lawrence; and I-95 in Lawrence Township, all due to heavy volume.
