Museum Holiday Exhibit Opens Sunday

The 2nd Annual Holiday Display: Celebrating Our Diversity will open at the East Brunswick Museum on Sunday,

The is getting ready for the holidays.

On Sunday, Nov. 20, swing by  the museum, 16 Maple St., for the 2nd Annual Holiday Display: Celebrating Our Diversity. The exhibit will open with a public program and reception at 2 p.m. and is intended to celebrate the holiday traditions of different organizations and cultures in East Brunswick.

Local organizations were invited to participate in the exhibit by providing decorations that represent their mission or culture. Participating organizations include the New Jersey Antique Bottle Club, the Raritan River Chapter of the National Railway Historic Society and New Jersey Easter Seals.

The museum also will have a “Toys From the Attic" exhibit featuring antique and collectible items from several members and the museum collection.

The museum will be open during regular hours while the new exhibit is being prepared.  The permanent museum collection will be on display throughout the transition period. In addition, the James Crawford Thom paintings are on permanent display, year-round. The museum is open Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
