Here's a round up of some things going on in the region this week.

What follows is a digest of activities, events and political discussions that will occur during the week of Feb. 14-20.

Monday, Feb. 14

Redistricting forum, League of Women Voters, 7 p.m., Conant Hall, Educational Testing Service, 660 Rosedale Road, Lawrence. Discussion of upcoming legislative redistricting sponsored by area League chapters.

International night, 6 p.m., South Brunswick High School, Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction. Senior citizens invited to an International Showcase of Student Talent.

Wednesday, Feb. 16

Classical concert, 7 p.m., Hammarskjold School, 200 Rues Lane, East Brunswick. Anita Chen, a violinist and pianist, will perform a concert as part of the East Brunswick Public Schools’ Arts Education Concert series with the EBHS Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Director Michael Berry. The program will include the first movement of Mozart’s “Fifth Violin Concerto” with the EBHS Chamber Orchestra. Chen will then perform some selections as a soloist, including Grieg’s “Sonata No. 2” for violin, then on piano, Brahms’ “Variation of Paganini,” and then back to violin to play Fritz Kreisler’s arrangement of Corelli’s “La Folia.”

Thursday, Feb. 17

Planning for Incapacity, 10-11:30 a.m., County Connection, Route 33 at Paxson Avenue, Hamilton. Estate planning in case you are physically or mentally unable to care for yourself. 

Friday, Feb. 18

Owl presentation, 11 a.m., East Brunswick Library. See a real owl and learn about the lives of these interesting nocturnal birds of prey. Presented by the Raptor Trust, one of the premier wild bird rehabilitation centers in the United States.

Varsity bowling championship, 9:30 p.m. Brunswick Zone/Carolier Lanes, Route 1, North Brunswick. East Brunswick boys varsity bowlng team is among those vying for a title.

Saturday, Feb. 19

State Meet of Champions, 1 p.m., Bennett Center in Toms River. Eleven SBHS girls and four boys are competing, as are several East Brunswick athletes.

Winter Kitchen, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Howell Living History Farm, Valley Road off Route 29, Titusville.

Sunday, Feb. 20,

Poetry reading, 2 p.m., South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Anthony Buccino and David Crews read as part of the fifth season of the poetry readings at the library. Open reading to follow feature readers. Admission is free, but a donation of a nonperishable food item is requested.
