A Firm Foundation: From Church to Museum - Celebrating 150 Years

The East Brunswick Museum Corporation presents "A Firm Foundation: From Church to Museum - Celebrating 150 years”The 2012 exhibit opens on Saturday, May 12th at 2pm with a public reception.    The Museum is located at 16 Maple St.,in the Historic Village of Old Bridge section of East Brunswick, NJ.  The exhibit will celebrate the physical building that houses the East Brunswick Museum, by featuring information on the founding families of the Simpson  Methodist Church, the building's architecture, and a look at other interesting facts about the building and its transition from a church to the current use as a historical
museum.  The event is sponsored by the East Brunswick Museum Board of Trustees, regular museum hours are Saturday and Sunday - 1:30pm - 4pm; year-round.

The Museum will be open during regular hours while the new exhibit is being prepared. The permanent museum collection will be on display throughout the transition period.  In addition, the James Crawford Thom paintings
are on permanent display, year-round. 

Admission is free for members; suggested minimum donations of $1.00 per person for all others, additional donations are always welcome!  The East Brunswick Museum is a membership organization; please consider becoming a member today.  Membership is for one calendar year.  Special programs may have admission fees to
cover the cost of the event.  Proceeds from dues, donations and fundraisers are used for ongoing operating costs,
including exhibit expenses.
