East Brunswick Chabad's Friendship Club - Sunday FUNDAY

The East Brunswick Friendship Club, in association with the Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County and proudly sponsored by the Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation, is holding its next event: Mother’s Day FUN-Day, at the NYSC of East Brunswick, Rt. 18 North, on Sunday, May 13, 2012, beginning at 10:30. NYSC is graciously donating the use of their facility for the 2nd time this year, where children with special needs and their volunteer buddies will come together for a fun-filled morning of Mother’s Day gift-making and socializing with friends and family. The children will also have use of the open-gym, where along with their volunteer-buddies, they will engage in physical activities designed especially for them.

The FRIENDSHIP CLUB pairs children with special needs along with teenage volunteers, who make weekly home visits to their friends to play a game, read a book, take a walk, or do just about anything! The FRIENDSHIP CLUB holds special bi-monthly programs on Sundays, with a range of exciting and enriching activities. The volunteers offer friendship, acceptance, and participation in socially bonding activities, affording them and their families the opportunity to be part of their community in a more enlivening and inclusive way.

For more information regarding the FRIENDSHIP CLUB program, or if you know a child or teen interested in joining please call 732-333-3220, or email at fc@ebchabad.com.
