East Brunswick Library International Film Fest: "The First Grader"

An elderly veteran of Kenya’s Mau Mau Uprising enrolls in a newly-opened primary school to learn to read and write with a class of 6-year-olds. This uplifting true story stars Kenyan actor Oliver Litondo as Kimani Maruge and Naomi Harris as his idealistic young teacher.
