Looking for something to do this weekend? Here’s a a few can’t miss events where you can stay local and have fun!

Saturday and Sunday

: “Sweeney Todd” is based on the 19th Century tale of a demonic barber in Victorian London.  The Stephen Sondheim musical tells the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife.  His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe.

“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” opened at the , 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $22 for Adults and $20 for seniors and students, with group rates available. For more information, visit the theater at www.playhouse22.org or call 732-254-3939.

Saturday

: Join supporters of the 12U team for a night of music, food and fun. The team is holding a fundraiser dinner to help pay for a weeklong trip to Cooperstown in June. The event will be held at 7 pm. At the Imperial Music Center, 48 Appleby Ave., South River. The price is $65. The event includes a buffet dinner with premium carving stations, desserts and beer, wine and sangria. Music will be provided by New Jersey's Most Wanted Rock 'N Roll Party Band.

Holiday Bazaar: , 367 Cranbury Rd, will hold a free “Old-Fashioned Christmas Bazaar” and silent auction at Trinity Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.There’s something for everyone – hand-crafted ornaments and home décor; knitted and crocheted items; home-canned fruits, jams and jellies; hand-beaded jewelry; handmade greeting cards; delicious homemade bake sale goodies; holiday gifts for pets; and a spot where children can shop too! Also included is a “silent auction” with over 40 themed baskets to bid on. Light breakfast and lunch available.

Tom Ragú Presents: Sorry, We're Funny: Join host Tom Ragú as he presents the different, the funny & the misunderstood in "Tom Ragú Presents: Sorry, We're Funny" at 7 p.m. tonight at Center Stage Dance & Theatre Company, 110 Tices Lane. The production is a traveling comedy and variety show that un-apologetically features some of New York and New Jersey's  best comics, variety acts and misfits. Admission is $10. 

This show is a fund-raising benefit for Natasha's Justice Project, a non-profit foundation that strives to bring attention to the rape kit backlog crisis through awareness, education and funding. All net proceeds benefit Natasha's Justice Project.
