Harpers Escape to the Library

The 20th Annual Harpers Escape weekend will culminate at the library, Sunday.

More than two dozen harpers will perform at The East Brunswick Public Library on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 1:30 p.m.

The visit is part of the 20th Annual Harpers Escape weekend, held in New Brunswick. The event features noted harpers Grainne Hambly from Ireland, William Jackson from Scotland and U.S.-based harp teachers Kathy DeAngelo and Debbie Brewin-Wilson, who teach traditional Irish and Scottish music on the folk harp. Harpers come from all over the country to be part of this exciting event, with their weekend culminating in a free public concert here at The Library.

The concert includes the artist-teachers and ensembles composed of all participants. This free program is sponsored by You’ve Gotta Have Harp Productions, The Arts Commission and The Library. For more information on this event call 732-390-6767 or go to The Library’s website at http://www.ebpl.org and click on “News & Events.”
