Outdoor Concerts for the Family

The East Brunswick Division of Recreation has a full month of great music scheduled for July during a summer concert series.

Kick of a summer of great music on Wednesday, June 29, at 7 p.m. when Bruce Springsteen tribute band, the B Street Band hits the stage at .

The band is the first in a line up of great acts slated to perform this summer in East Brunswick.

Enjoy Tequila Rose, which will play new and classic country music at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 9; come by for Wonderful Wednesday, with children’s performer Yosi, at 6:30p.m. Wednesday, July 13; NJ’s Most Wanted Rock ‘n Roll Party Band will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 23; and Sidewalk Serenade will bring its Doo Wop-and Motown and classic rock sounds to the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30.

Originally known as the Backstreets, the B Street Band was formed in Asbury Park in 1980 by musicians Will Forte and the late Bob Chipak. The band has opened for Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, entertained at the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl, and played for graduating classes at Harvard and Princeton universities.

These concerts are free, so bring a blanket, some lawn chairs and a picnic dinner and enjoy the summer.

The Cultural Arts Center is located at 721 Cranbury Road. If it rains, the show will go on inside the theater.
