POLL: Are You On the Lookout for Fifty Shades of Grey?

You might be one of the thousands of people dying to get their hands on the self-published “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which has caught fire after being featured on the Today Show earlier this month.

Fifty Shades is billed as a romance novel with bondage elements. According to the East Brunswick Public Library website:

"When literature student Anastasia Steele is drafted to interview the successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey for her campus magazine, she finds him attractive, enigmatic and intimidating. Convinced their meeting went badly, she tries to put Grey out of her mind - until he happens to turn up at the out-of-town hardware store where she works part-time."

The book was self-published by Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House, but has become a sensation largely through Internet word-of-blog. To date, there are more than 18,000 reveiws of the book on www.goodreads.com.

Locally, the book is completely sold out at the local . T has three copies, but all are out or on hold. On Friday, there was a waiting list of almost 70 people. However, the library has ordered more, so keep checking the shelves.
