Don't Breathe a Word,” by Jennifer McMahon. A literary thriller about childhood fantasies with a supernatural twist. Years ago, a young girl disappeared in the woods after telling her friends she was going to live with the King of the Fairies. Fifteen years later, she reappears and her brother and his girlfriend take a frightening psychological journey to try to find out what really happened the night she disappeared. Is the girl really his sister? Has she been living in a fairyland all these years? The character of the girlfriend, Phoebe, is particularly good and much of the book is told from her point of view. Her own childhood memories drive her to find the truth in this mystery, but she is also terrified what that truth might be. This book will keep you turning the pages long into the night with its twists and turns.
