Get One-On-One Job Search and Career Help at the Library

if you're out of work or looking for a new position, get your job search started at the library.

The Business Resource Center at the East Brunswick Public Library announces a partnership with the Professional Service Group of New Brunswick designed to assist job seekers.

This new service complements the library’s other services and resources designed to help those who are in search of a new job, exploring careers, or seeking new skills.   Volunteers have been trained to guide customers through two key databases: Job and Career Accelerator and Career Transitions. These databases help jobseekers assess their skills and match them to specific careers, explore new professions that are growing and need skilled workers, see real-time job lists and create cover letters and resumes using templates.

This is a drop-in service that is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. No appointment is needed.  Volunteers will be on hand to provide one-on-one assistance to customers who need help with using a computer, creating an email account, searching for jobs, filling out an online job application and signing up for LinkedIn.
