House of Cupcakes to Open June 14

The bakery will give away 1,000 free cupcakes over their opening weekend.

House of Cupcakes has announced their much anticipated grand opening date, and will give away free cupcakes to celebrate their new East Brunswick location in Summerhill Square.

The cupcake shop will celebrate its grand opening weekend starting June 14, and will give away 500 free cupcakes over two days for a total of 1,000 cupcakes, according to a press release from House of Cupcakes.

Free cupcakes will be available starting at 3 p.m. Friday, June 14 and then again after 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 on a first come, first served basis, according to the release.

The bakery will also accept donations to benefit the East Brunswick Education Foundation over grand opening weekend, according to the release.

House of Cupcakes is currently expanding their operations beyond their original Princeton location, with new cupcakes shops recently opened in Manhattan and the Bronx, as well as the East Brunswick location.

The bakery achieved national recognition a few years ago after their cupcakes took the top win on the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars."
