The Friends of the EBEC is Recognized Again for Local Environmental Excellence

Another Friends Project Receives an Award

On Saturday, the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission was awarded their 6th Environmental Achievement Award from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC) at the 39th Annual Environmental Congress. The award was conferred for the innovative and highly successful Freecycle program that has helped divert nearly 60 tons of household goods from our landfill through reuse and recycling. The next Freecycle is next Sunday, October 28th from 9-3 at Crystal Springs.   The Friends has also been awarded Environmental Achievement Awards from ANJEC for the Butterfly Park, Moth Nights, Website, Community Garden and the Salamander Crossing project. No Environmental Commission or Non-Profit has been recognized by ANJEC as many times as East Brunswick. Consider joining the Friends and sharing in all of our unique, fun and free programs.

That is so awesome! Nice to see there are still good guys out there and the DAR acknowledges them.
