Winter Birding in East Brunswick This Saturday

Come explore the winter birds of East Brunswick on Saturday.

The Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission are conducting the annual Winter Big Day Birding event on Saturday. The goal is to find as many different species of birds as possible by visiting open spaces and parks around town. The event is open to anyone that wants to come along, but is best suited for those with at least basic bird identification skills. Please bring binoculars. We will be meeting in the library parking lot at 8 a.m. and travelling via caravan to various places. Transportation will not be provided so consider carpooling with a friend.

Over the past years we've seen bald eagle, peregrine falcon, lots of different ducks, hawks, herons and a wide variety of other interesting birds. For those that can't meet at 8, we will be posting real time updates on the Friends website so that everyone can follow along and also know where we are to join us at different times during the day.

Consider joining the Friends. It's free and only takes seconds on the website.
