Adopt a Cat or Dog this Weekend

The Animal Rescue Force has several cats and dogs that needs homes.

There are cats and dogs everywhere that need a nice, safe happy home. Help them find one this weekend by attending one of three adoption events sponsored by the this weekend. ARF holds weekly adoption events throughout the area to find homes for animals that would have been euthanized in a shelter or whose parents can no longer care for them.

Every Saturday and Sunday you can find ARF at the PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; at the Petco on Route 1 in Edison from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). Visit ARF's web page HERE.

While many animals are available, here are just a few you can find this weekend.

Mary came in with her mom and siblings when a gentleman said he could no longer keep them where he was staying. Mary is sight impaired probably due to an infection the mother may have had while she was pregnant. It doesn’t stop her. She can run and play with the best of them. An owner may not want Mary to go in a house with smaller children who might run and grab for her. Mary is 10 months old, spayed, micro chipped, and combo tested for FELV/FIV and is negative. Mary will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday to see if anything has changed.
