Cats and dogs: You want them and the Animal Rescue Force has them!

Shelby is about 4 years old and probably a beagle mix. She has lived with two small children but is being given up because the owner lost his job. She is housetrained and knows basic commands. When she came in her eyes were red and swollen and she has patches of hair missing. After bringing her to the vet, he prescribed food with salmon and potato, medicated baths twice per week and other medication, which she has finished. The baths will continue being required until her hair grows back and she will always require the diet. She comes with a 24  pound bag special food and shampoo. Shelby has been with three other dogs at the foster's house and is just fine with them. She is a love. To adopt her will cost $250, which includes her spay, heartworm test, ID chip, bag of special dog food and shampoo. Shelby will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check back with the ARF website  on Saturday and Sunday to see if anything has changed.

Tugger seems to be a very nice dog, a cairn terrier. He is a neutered male and has had all his shots. To adopt him will cost $100.  Tugger will be at PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick in the Midstate Mall shopping center Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.
