Air Quality Alert Issued for Middlesex County

People with breathing difficulties, heart conditions and the elderly warned to take precautions.

The National Weather Service Wednesday issued a code orange aid quality alert for the whole of Middlesex County.

An air quality alert means that air pollution in the area, coupled with high heat and humidity, may pose a health risk to people with asthma, heart and lung problems, small children and elderly.

The National Weather Service is advising all to limit outdoor exercise and strenuous activity to avoid complications from air pollution.
