Free Rabies Clinic Set for Saturday

East Brunswick's Free Rabies Clinic will be Saturday, Dec. 8.

East Brunswick will hold its annual free rabies clinic on Saturday, Dec. 8.

To be held rain or shine, the clinic will be at the East Brunswick Cultural Arts Building on Cranbury Road from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clinic hours will be 11 a.m. to noon for cats only and noon to 3 p.m. for both cats and dogs.

All cats must be in carriers and all dogs must be leashed or contained and accompanied by an adult. Any animals not meeting these requirements will not be admitted.

Rabies vaccinations must be current in order to license cats or dogs.  It is safe to re-vaccinate pets before the current vaccination expires.  No animal licenses will be issued unless the animals’ vaccination is current.  Rabies vaccinations must not expire before Nov. 1 of the licensing year to be considered current.

Animal licenses are annual and run from Jan. to Dec 31 of the licensing year.  All cats and dogs over seven months old must be licensed.  Proof of a current rabies vaccination must be presented at the time of licensing and updated as needed.
